The bakery will be closed Friday, Nov. 28. Why, you might ask? It’s like this. We make all of our bread and pastries from scratch, and it takes a full day of prep to come up with a day’s worth of fresh product. Since most of us were home on Thanksgiving, there wouldn’t be much to sell on Friday. Rest assured, we will be working Friday to re-open Saturday following the Thanksgiving holiday. Cheers!

Smittybread Bakery is located at 415 S. 4th St., Lafayette, Ind., just 4 blocks south of downtown Lafayette. Free parking is available between the bakery and Spot Tavern.

The bakery is open 9 a.m. -4 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, and 9 a.m. -2 p.m. Saturday.

You can also find Smittybread at the West Lafayette Farmer’s Market on Wednesdays and the Lafayette Farmers Market on Saturdays during market season (May through October). Lafayette market hours are 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. West Lafayette market hours are 3:30-7 p.m. May, September and October,  and 4-8 p.m. June through August.
